What Does Redemption Mean To Jesus?

Many people think that redemption is when Jesus was tortured, hung on the cross, and died for our sins.  But crucifixion was something that was done to many Christians, yet they all died joyfully. However, Jesus was grieved when he knows he will be crucified. Why? It is not because of the pain. It is because the whole wrath of God upon the sin of the world will be poured on Jesus. In Gethsemane, Jesus prayed 3 times to God to take away the cup. What cup is it? Not the cup of torture or death, but the cup of God's wrath.  Isaiah 53:10 (NIV) "Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand." Jesus had to pay every cent for our sin, and when it is done, He said "It is finished" This is what Redemption mean to Jesus.
